The short finger championship gloves have been beefed up compared to previous models by adding a superior grip "Proton" palm with wrap around construction and increased finger lengths which help prevent robe burn. These gloves also use seamless wrap-around Kevlar reinforcements on the fingers for advanced abrasion resistance. There is also Kevlar along the palm which uses overlocked stitching to reduce fraying and increase durability. Inside wrist closures were also added to prevent false starts when using a sailing watch.
